In order to get the Texas State Motto - "Friendship" in the quilt and how it came about, it was embroidered with low contrast embroidery floss in the center of the bottom border. The quilting in the border included a quilted plaque around the word "Friendship". From the seal we took the oak branch and acorns from the left side of the seal for left border and the olive branch and olives from the right side of the seal for the right border.They both came together in the center on the top border. Setting, Borders and Binding are included in this pattern.
